What Is Involved In Testing And Balancing HVAC Systems?
As a certified HVAC contractor in South Florida, we service all types of commercial air conditioning systems. Servicing involves installation, repair, and replacement of equipment; emergency services; and preventative maintenance. For all installation services, it is essential that equipment is tested to ensure that everything is working the way it was designed to.
As a professional contractor, we provide NEBB-certified test and balance services through a third party provider. NEBB is the premier international certification association for firms that deliver high-performance building systems testing. Although we don’t perform the test and balance services ourselves, we hire and pay the contractor to streamline communication and make the process easier for you. With an independent third party certifying our work, you can be confident that we’ve done the job right.
After a system is installed, the third-party contractor measures all of the air flows and water flows (for chilled water systems). The contractor will document all findings and compare them against the design parameters. If necessary, the contractor will make adjustments for air balance or water flows to ensure that your new system is working correctly.
